Amad Diallo was heavily linked with a move away from Manchester United in the winter transfer window and now appears to be eyeing a new venture away from Old Trafford next term.
Today, eagle-eyed supporters were quick to flag that the Ivorian had wiped all United-related content from his social media profiles. His Instagram now features just three posts showcasing his time on loan with Sunderland, while his Twitter (X) header is him celebrating a goal for the Black Cats last season.

Amad’s situation under Erik ten Hag has been nothing short of perplexing. He shone on Wearside throughout his campaign-long stay, netting 14 goals – including one in the playoff semi-finals – and contributing four assists in 42 matches.
During last summer’s pre-season tour, the winger sustained a long-term knee injury that kept him out of action until late December. His first outing of 2023/2024 came against Nottingham Forest on the 30th of the month when he made a 36-minute cameo off the bench as the Reds fell to a 2-1 defeat.
He has since gone on to make just two further appearances this calendar year against Fulham and Forest (FA Cup) – both of which were as a substitute and totalled just 27 minutes, taking his tally up to 63 minutes on the pitch in total.
Amad, 21, garnered interest from the likes of Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Leeds United in January before Ten Hag decided to keep him in the squad, though currently, it’s unclear why.
Amad sent Ten Hag warning
When analysing which members of the United squad could depart in the next window, journalist Samuel Luckhurst said of Amad: “The winger has been restricted to three substitute appearances since he recovered from a knee injury in late December. If Ten Hag is backed, then Amad might as well pack his bags.”
