Former Kwara United coach Samson Unuanel has disclosed that coaches in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) will benefit immensely from interim coach of the Super Eagles Augustine Eguavoen.
Eguavoen, who is also the technical director of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), has made a bright start to his managerial reign with the team, winning two and drawing one match in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Speaking with Completesports.com, Unuanel cited Rangers’ head coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu, and Remo Stars’ Daniel Ogunmodede, who have been selected as assistance for Eguavoen.

“I am really delighted with the progress made so far by Eguavoen with the Super Eagles.
” Besides, his appointment has seen him select NPFL coaches who are really doing very well as his assistants.
“This is one of the benefits that comes with appointing a home grown coach for the senior national team. His experience will be of great benefit to the NPFL coaches as well.”
