More Details On The Reported Cause Of Death Of The Wells Fargo Employee

According to 12News, a medical examiner has reportedly ruled that Prudhomme died of natural causes. Additionally, the examiner reportedly determined that the 60-year-old died a “sudden cardiac death.

Furthermore, the examiner reportedly noted that Prudhomme’s “sudden cardiac death” was “related to scarring of the heart muscles,” per The Arizona Republic. However, the outlet adds that the examiner reportedly did not list or elaborate on “the cause of the scarring.”

More Details On How Denise Prudhomme Was Reportedly Discovered

As The Shade Room previously reported, Prudhomme clocked in for work at a Wells Fargo office in Tempe, Arizona, around 7 a.m. on August 16.

Four days later, her body was reportedly discovered by security. Within that time, employees had reported smelling a “foul odor” in the building. Furthermore, a later released statement alleged Prudhomme’s desk “was located in an underpopulated area in the building, and nobody checked on her for four days.”

Per The Arizona Republic, the statement was reportedly shared by a union representing Wells Fargo employees.

“Wells Fargo monitors our every move and keystroke using remote, electronic technologies ― purportedly to evaluate our productivity ― and will fire us if we are caught not making enough keystrokes on our computers; however, Denise went unnoticed at her desk for four days. The contradictory nature of electronic surveillance versus an unnoticed death sheds light on the reality of what it means to be a worker at Wells Fargo. The solution is not more monitoring, but ensuring that we are all connected to a supportive work environment instead of warehoused away in a back office,” the Wells Fargo Workers United union reportedly asserted at the time.

Meanwhile, Wells Fargo released a statement sharing the company’s sadness regarding Prudhomme’s passing.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of our colleague, Denise Prudhomme. Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones, and we are in contact to ensure they are well supported during this difficult time. We are committed to the safety and wellness of our workforce. Counselors are available to support any employees impacted by this event,” the statement reportedly read.
