No fewer than six people have lost their lives in an auto crash at Second Rainbow in the Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State.

PUNCH Online gathered that the incident occurred about 4 pm on Sunday.

An eyewitness who spoke to our correspondent under anonymity narrated that the incident occurred after a trailer driver lost control of the brakes and crashed into a car and a commercial bus.

“That trailer failed its brake and crashed into those two vehicles. They have carried some bodies already. About six or seven,” she said.

Our correspondent who was at the venue, observed the presence of operatives of the Federal Road Safety Corps and the Nigeria Police.

Some people also helped in carrying the injured into vehicles for treatment.

A police source who was actively attending to the situation said she was unable to answer questions at the moment.

She said, “I don’t have a chance now.”
