Two goals from Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka were enough to secure Arsenal’s victory against French giants Paris Saint-Germain at the Emirates Stadium Tuesday night.
Havertz broke the deadlock in the 20th minute after leaping to nod a cross from Leandro Trossard into the back of the net.
Fifteen minutes later, Saka struck a dangerous free kick to cement the win for the North London side.
The free kick which can be said as unintentional, made its way into the PSG box as Trossard and Thomas Partey made attempts to flick the ball, before creeping into the net past Italian goalie Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Joao Neves almost got a goal for the Parisians after flicking the ball from a near corner kick before glancing off the bar.
The visitors were without French player Ousmane Dembele who was dropped from the match squad by Luis Enrique owing to disciplinary matters.
It was a disappointing result for PSG despite opening their Champions League campaign with a 1-0 victory against Girona.
