The US shows the most interest in the AI-related tokens narrative in 2024, capturing almost 19% share of global interest. According to CoinGecko’s “15 Countries Leading AI Crypto Narrative in 2024” report, the UK comes second with a 9% stake in interest, followed by Türkiye at 6.5%. The report also highlights that those countries spearheaded the meme coin frenzy in 2023.

India, Australia, Canada, and the Philippines have also been consistent in their crypto narrative leadership, mirroring their positions from the meme coin trend. Their responsiveness to market narratives is evident in their rankings.

In Southeast Asia, the AI-themed tokens trend is surging, with four countries making it to the top 15. The Philippines is notable with almost 3% global interest share, while Singapore and Indonesia each hold 2.2%, and Vietnam contributes with 1.2%.

European Union members are not far behind, with the Netherlands leading the EU pack with a 5.6% share. Poland and Germany are tied at 3.2%, and France follows with 2.1%. Collectively, the top 15 countries in AI crypto command a significant 74.4% of market interest.

Bittensor (TAO), Render (RNDR), and Fetch.ai (FET) are the most sought-after AI crypto coins, and the report relates those numbers with their significant market caps and recent price leaps. Other popular AI coins in the top 200 by market cap include Akash Network (AKT), PAAL AI (PAAL), SingularityNET (AGIX), Ocean Protocol (OCEAN), AIOZ Network (AIOZ), Nosana (NOS), and Arkham (ARKM).

Smaller AI crypto coins are also gaining traction. PaLM AI (PALM) has seen a surge in interest due to its link to Google’s AI tech. Other coins like 0x0.ai (0X0), TokenFi (TOKEN), GameSwift (GSWIFT), and Zignaly (ZIG) are attracting attention for their AI integrations.

Notably, 10 out of the 25 top AI crypto coins include “AI” or related abbreviations in their tickers, a trend driven by speculative interests in AI narratives. Coins such as Solidus AI Tech (AITECH), DeepFakeAI (FAKEAI), and ChainGPT (CGPT) have capitalized on this trend, though not all AI-ticker coins have enjoyed the same popularity.

Rounding out the list of smaller but popular AI crypto coins are Autonolas (OLAS), Oraichain (ORAI), and Clore.ai (CLORE), each carving out their niche in the market.

The search for AI-related tokens is making the prices soar. As reported by Crypto Briefing, CoinGecko pointed out on a Mar. 5 report that crypto from this niche jumped 257% on average between Jan. 1 and Mar. 4.
