There was a lot of speculation about where RAW would go after its deal with USA Network ended and fans got their answer, as RAW will move to Netflix beginning 2025. However, it appears the USA Network will not be extending their deal with RAW until 2025.
As previously reported, WWE and Netflix confirmed the earth-shattering deal to shift Monday Night RAW to the streaming service starting in January 2025. The reported deal is valued at over $5 billion for duration of ten years, which is simply mindblowing for many.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about what would happen to Monday Night RAW after their deal with the USA Network expires following September this year.
Meltzer noted that the USA Network will not be airing RAW after September, but added that the WWE will be making an announcement regarding RAW’s temporary destination from October to December this year.
”I talked to WWE extensively yesterday and asked them most of the key questions. I guess the only unanswered question is what happens to RAW after September this year, because in January it’s going to Netflix, at the end of September the contract is up. USA Network told Brandon Thurston that they’re not airing it after the end of September, so it’s not like they’re gonna go through more months on the USA. WWE told me they are going to make an announcement relatively soon about that. I guess they have something, what it is I don’t know.”
WWE President Nick Khan also disclosed plans when it came to shifting RAW from Monday nights. Only time will tell where Monday Night RAW will end up for the last few months of 2024, prior to their Netflix deal.
