Despite a 2-2 draw against the Madrid leader, FC Valencia lost Mouctar Diakhaby to injury. Indeed, the defender was seriously injured following contact with Aurélien Tchouameni. Quickly, the local club gave its news: “Mouctar Diakhaby suffered a dislocation of his right knee during yesterday’s match at Mestalla against Real Madrid CF. After initial medical treatment, the Valencia central defender remained in hospital for a clinical check-up and is awaiting further examinations.

This Tuesday, the former OL defender on crutches visited his teammates. All smiles, he tried to reassure them, they who were happy to see him again. “Diakhaby then made some statements in the press. I am having surgery on Thursday in France. I have a lot of confidence in the doctors in Valencia, but my home and my family are in France. I am very supported. My teammates support me a lot.” Marca specifies that he will be operated on at the Jean Mermoz Private Hospital in Lyon by orthopedic surgeon Bertrand Sonnery-Cottet. All, under the direction of Dr. Pedro López, head of medical services at FC Valencia.
