Rafa Mir knows his sporting sanction! Arrested on the evening of September 2nd after being the subject of a complaint filed by two young women for sexual assault, the 27-year-old Spaniard has been suspended by his club, FC Valencia, and will miss the next two matches. After announcing at the beginning of the week the opening of disciplinary proceedings against its striker, the club confirmed, through its coach Ruben Baraja, the sidelining of the striker on loan from FC Sevilla until the end of the season.
“This week he is training on the sidelines and next week he will be back in the group. Once the two-match sanction is over, he will be part of the group like any other player and I will be the one who decides whether he plays or not.“, declared the Spanish coach at a press conference on the sidelines of the clash against Atlético de Madrid counting for the 5th day of La Liga. As a reminder, Rafa Mir denies the accusations made against him.
