Alex Baskin, the producer of Vanderpump Rules, is teasing its spinoff The Valley and viewers can expect a cinematic transition reminiscent of the way The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills transitioned to the former.
One of the moments in Bravo history that fans still talk about is the seamless way Vanderpump Rules was introduced to audiences via an episode of RHOBH. Scheana Shay was the link between both shows and had a sitdown with housewife Brandi Glanville that started at the end of an episode of RHOBH. Once they cleared their situation up, the episode transitioned into Vanderpump Rules without a cut that made audiences carry over to sample the new Bravo series.
Now Baskin has revealed to Deadline that there’s going to be a similar way that Vanderpump Rules carries over to the newly-announced The Valley, with Jax Taylor at the center of the scene.
“We have a crossover with Jax and Tom Sandoval — there’s a moment between them,” Baskin told us during the red carpet of the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 premiere in Los Angeles. “This is in the eight-episode of Vanderpump [which leads into] the premiere episode of The Valley and it’s a lot of fun.”
He continued, “It’s Jax getting in a few words with Tom — he’s been waiting for this moment. And then he heads over the hill and we’re in a new series. So that’s fun.”
Baskin teased that more crossovers happen between both shows throughout the season with “a few other appearances in both directions.”
The moment between Taylor and Sandoval is something Vanderpump Rules viewers have been waiting for since the “Scandoval” broke out and will finally get to see them together on-screen.
The Valley is set to premiere this Spring and it stars Taylor alongside former Vanderpump Rules star Brittany Cartwright and Kristen Doute.
Vanderpump Rules premieres on Jan. 30 on Bravo.
