The “High School Musical” star, who has been in the spotlight for almost two decades, has been in several high-profile relationships.
However, she found her happy ending in 2023 with her low-key husband, Cole Tucker.

Zac Efron

She and Efron, who starred opposite each other on screen, began dating at the “very beginning” of the movie franchise in 2005, she revealed on The Hollywood Reporter’s “Awards Chatter” podcast in 2018.
“We created a bond right from the start,” she said.
“We were like, ‘We’re doing this, it’s us or nothing.’ By being in a relationship, I feel like it kind of kept me stabilized and grounded, and I had someone to lean on who was going through it as well,” she added.
The pair confirmed their relationship two years later when he starred in her 2007 music video for the song, “Say OK.”
The “17 Again” actor, for his part, got candid about their romance during an interview with Rolling Stone that year.
“The weird thing that no one expected about Vanessa is that underneath such a sweet girl … is a very sexy woman,” he told the magazine.
By 2010, the pair had gone their separate ways.
“Long-distance relationships are hard no matter what. When you don’t have face-to-face time, it’s just different,” Hudgens told Shape in 2011, alluding to the reason for their split.
Josh Hutcherson
She briefly dated Josh Hutcherson. Donato SardellaBy 2011, the Disney Channel alum was all grown up, and was linked to her “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” co-star, Josh Hutcherson.
The pair was spotted together on a handful of occasions, including at Coachella in April 2011.
They didn’t address their romance until a 2012 interview with Today Australia when they were asked how long they had been dating.
“We’re not — we were at one point, that was a while ago … we’re really good friends now,” the “Hunger Games” actor said, as he flashed his former flame a surprised look.
Austin Butler
The “High School Musical” alum dated Austin Butler for almost a decade. WireImageHudgens’ next serious relationship was with the “Elvis” actor, whom she was first linked to in late 2011.
Though they were spotted together on several occasions over the next few years, they didn’t make their romance Instagram official until 2014.
“Happy birthday to the man with the kindest heart, beautiful soul, crazy talent and best looks I’ve ever seen,” Hudgens captioned a birthday tribute to her beau at the time.
By 2015, the pair were speaking publicly about each other.
“It’s important to put that other person first,” Butler told Entertainment Tonight when asked how they make their relationship work.
However, the two remained notoriously low-key about their romance for several years.
Hudgens infamously encouraged her then-boyfriend to audition for the role of Elvis Presley, which would eventually earn him an Oscar nod.
“I CAN’T WAIT 😍😍😍😍😍😍 SO PROUD OF MY HONEYYYYY!!!” she wrote on Instagram when he was cast in 2019.
In January 2020, however, the pair called it quits.
“Busy work schedules and travel definitely put a strain on the relationship. They were a wonderful couple and it’s really sad that it didn’t work out,” an insider told People at the time.
Kyle Kuzma

The two were seen having dinner together in January 2020; however, a source told People that they were “taking things slow and just having fun at this stage.”
Although fans noticed Hudgens leave a flirty comment on one of Kuzma’s Instagram snaps, the romance is believed to have fizzled out shortly afterward.
Cole Tucker
She wed Cole Tucker in late 2023. ?InstagramHudgens began dating her then-future husband in November 2020.
She was spotted hanging out with the minor league baseball player in Los Angeles after meeting via Zoom in a meditation class.
“I fully just slid into his DMs and was like, ‘Hey, it was nice to meet you.’ So I think there is no shame in making the first move,” she said on the “Drew Barrymore” show the following year.
They confirmed their romance in February 2021, with Hudgens writing on social media, “It’s you, it’s me, it’s us.”
They made their red carpet debut together that November, and continued to go from strength to strength over the next couple of years.
They got engaged in February 2023, revealing the happy news in a joint social media post.
“YES. We couldn’t be happier,” they wrote.
The two then tied the knot in an ultra-private ceremony in Tulum, Mexico that December, surrounded by about 100 of their closest friends and family.
“Seeing each other at the altar for the first time is the most emotional moment of my life,” she told Vogue.
“I literally keeled over when I saw Cole and had to take a big breath and had to force myself to keep walking because I could have dropped to the floor.”
