Vanna White tears up in emotional ‘Wheel of Fortune’ farewell to ‘brother’ Pat Sajek: ‘What an unforgettable journey’

Vanna White teared up as she bid farewell to her “Wheel of Fortune” co-host, Pat Sajek, ahead of his retirement from the longest-running syndicated game show in the United States.

“I can’t believe that tomorrow is our last show together,” White, 67, said in an emotional video Thursday.

“I don’t know how to put into words what these past 41 years have meant to me, but I’m gonna try,” she began, explaining that “8,000 episodes went by [snaps her fingers] like that.”

White was admittedly “so green” when she joined the popular program, and she credited Sajek with making her feel “so comfortable” and “so confident.

“You made me who I am,” she marveled. “You really did.”

The model shared how even though the two have “grown up on television,” they’ve “shared so much more behind the scenes.

“And as much fun as we had on camera, those memories, milestones and life events we shared with our families outside the studio are my favorite,” gushed the mother of two

She noted that she and the father of two have “watched [their] children grow up together,” “traveled all over the world,” “eaten hundreds of meals together,” “laughed,” “cried” and “celebrated.”

Getting choked up, she let out, “Oh, gosh, what an incredible and unforgettable journey we’ve had. And I’ve enjoyed every minute of it with you.

“As this chapter of our lives is coming to an end, I know you’ll still be close by,” White concluded her sweet message, going on to call Sajek a “brother” and a lifelong friend” whom she’ll “always adore.”

Sajek, 77, announced his retirement in June 2023.

His successor, Ryan Seacrest, has said he’s “very excited to work” with White, whom he described as “such a staple on that show and in our living rooms for so many years.”
