EXCLUSIVE: Verve is expanding its talent and literary divisions with the hires of Jennifer Trofa as a TV Literary Agent and Allison Nguyen as a Talent Agent.
Trofa joins Verve from Range, where she worked as a manager since 2020. Before that, she held roles at UTA in both the Motion Picture and TV Lit departments. She has worked with a talent roster that includes Laura Moran, Owen Thiele, Ilana Glazer, Nick Paley and Ashley Padilla, a new Verve client who was recently announced as a cast member for SNL’s 50th season.
At Verve, Trofa will play a pivotal role in expanding the agency’s presence in both comedy and drama. “I’m beyond honored to have joined Verve, an agency that genuinely walks the talk on creative-driven representation and advocacy. There is nothing like Verve’s forward-thinking culture and the dedicated and inspired team here,” said Trofa.
Nguyen moves to Verve from UTA, where she worked in the TV Talent department since 2018. She has represented multi-hyphenates including Ziwe, Molly Sims, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, and Anjelah Johnson-Reyes.
At Verve, Nguyen will be part of the strategic team championing and amplifying emerging, multi-talented creatives, and is also on the team representing Padilla.
“I am incredibly excited to join a company that puts creative collaboration first. Verve’s commitment to nurturing multidimensional talent matches my passion for representing unique voices and storytellers and it is such a gift to join a company that has its finger on the cultural pulse,” said Nguyen.
“We’re thrilled to welcome both Jennifer and Allison to Verve, who both exemplify the passion, drive, and vision that distinguish Verve’s highly specialized and future-focused approach to representation,” said Sean Grumman, Head of Talent, and Felicia Prinz, Head of TV Lit.
In 2024, Verve’s employee base has grown 35% across the agent and executive level, with the Hollywood-based agency at the forefront of curated and premium representation across talent in all sectors. The company moved to its new headquarters in the Hollywood Media District in 2023 and established its New York offices in 2020.
