EXCLUSIVE: Verve has welcomed agent Barrett Bischoff to its Talent team and promoted Lacey Hunsucker to Talent Agent.

A 2024 nominee for the Talent Manager Association’s Heller Award for Theatrical Agent of the Year, Bischoff was most recently a Senior Talent Agent at the New York-based boutique agency Nicolosi & Co. Prior to that, he spent five years as an agent at Kazarian, Measures, Ruskin and Associates, where he shaped the careers of Tony Award-winning and Emmy-nominated actors.

In his new role, Bischoff will expand Verve Talent’s footprint in New York, deepening the agency’s presence in the theater world on and off Broadway, as well as across television and independent film. In a statement to Deadline, Verve partner and Head of Talent Sean Grumman noted that Bischoff will be an asset to Verve, particularly given his reputation as “a passionate and experienced player in the theater world with deep connections throughout New York’s preeminent theatrical institutions on and off Broadway.”

Said Bischoff: “I am thrilled to join the Talent Team at Verve, and a group of agents renowned for their exceptional reputation as tastemakers and unwavering advocates for their clients. I couldn’t be more inspired by Verve’s highly-specialized approach to representation and I am looking forward to growing our already formidable presence and reputation in the New York market, where the intersectionality of film, television and theater allows for a myriad of creative opportunities to be brought to the table for our clients.”

Hunsucker, who is based in Los Angeles, joined Verve as Talent Coordinator last January and was promoted to Talent Agent in December. Prior to Verve, she spent six years within the TV Talent department at CAA.

“It’s such an exciting and energetic time to be at Verve, surrounded by a team that puts so much into championing clients,” Hunsucker said. “Being part of this forward-thinking agency as we continue to grow and innovate is incredibly fulfilling, and I’m thrilled to take this next step alongside such talented colleagues.”

Added Grumman on today’s staffing news, “We couldn’t be happier to welcome Barrett to Verve and to celebrate Lacey’s inspired rise to agent. Their passion, drive, and vision perfectly align with Verve’s ethos of delivering specialized and forward-thinking representation. They’re an exciting part of our continued evolution.”

Celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, Verve has had a number of other developments on the staffing side in the last six months, with Michael Bitar most recently joining the company as a Feature Lit Agent. Other recent additions include Jennifer Trofa as a TV Literary Agent, Allison Nguyen as a Talent Agent, and Jennifer Jones as General Counsel. Additionally, Liz Parker was promoted to Managing Partner in August.
