Olympique de Marseille are getting closer to their goal in their quest for a right-back. An agreement has been reached with Kilian Sildillia, the Blues’ starter at the Olympic Games.

The transfer window continues to move forward for Olympique de Marseille. After having made official the signings of Lilian Brassier, Ismael Koné, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Mason Greenwood, the Phocéens are making good progress for defenders.

The arrival of Derek Cornelius, a Canadian central defender who plays in Sweden, would be on the right track. But OM has also made good progress in its search for a right-back, where Kiliann Sildillia could compensate for the departure to Nice of Jonathan Clauss.

Sildillia has already discovered the Velodrome

The 22-year-old Frenchman is currently playing in the Olympic Games with Thierry Henry’s Les Bleus, but he has had time to find common ground with OM. This is what German journalist Florian Plettenberg reveals, who adds that Mehdi Benatia and Roberto De Zerbi are pushing hard in this matter.

There is still work to be done, since OM still has to convince Fribourg to sell the former FC Metz player. It is not a done deal, because the German club has already sold a right-back, Hugo Siquet, who left for FC Bruges. But OM can rely on the will of the player, who discovered the Vélodrome with the Blues during the Olympics, and who could very quickly return there.
