Victims of Kano building collapse buried amid tears on Monday.

The remains of three victims of a building collapse in Kano State were on Monday laid to rest amid tears and wailing by family members, friends, and associates.

Among the victims include two children of the tenant of the ill-fated building and a nephew who is residing with them.

Despite endless rescue operations,  four days after the tragic incident, the first daughter of the family,  identified as Dmilila, is still missing as of the time of filing this report.

The parents of the victims, who are currently receiving treatment at the hospital, are the only survivors of the tragic incident.

The mass burial, coordinated by Pastor Michael Eyien, was attended by a mammoth crowd, who thronged the Hamadiyya cemetery to pay their last respect to the victims of the tragic incident.

It should be recalled that the National Emergency Management Agency, Kano, on Thursday, confirmed the death of two children, while two others suffered injuries, following the collapse of a two-storey building at Noman’s Land, Fagge Local Government Area of the state.

NEMA Coordinator, Kano Territorial Office, Dr. Nuraddeen Abdullahi, who confirmed the number of persons who died in the building collapse incident, said, “The agency received a distress call today at about 2:00 a.m. from a good samaritan that a two-story building collapsed at Noman’s Land Quarters, Kano predominantly occupied by the non-indigenous community.
