The transfer of Victor Osimhen from Napoli this summer is bound to be one of, if not the biggest move of the window.
It’s long been thought that the Nigerian hit-man will seek his fortune elsewhere, and because of a reported €130m release clause, only the richest clubs need apply.
Chelsea can’t afford Victor Osimhen’s wages
Hence why Todd Boehly’s Chelsea were almost immediately installed as favourites to land the Partnopei’s talisman.
The American has thought nothing of breaking the British transfer record before now, however, that crazy decision is what’s likely to stop the Blues being able to land their top target.
Victor Osimhen celebrates a goal for NapoliThat’s because, according to TeamTalk, Chelsea don’t have the financial ability to meet Osimhen’s wage demands which are thought to be in the region of £200,000 per week.
As such, TeamTalk sources believe that a more likely future destination is either Arsenal or Paris Saint-Germain, both of whom offer an attractive alternative to the West London outfit.

Metro reported back in January that the striker prefers a Premier League move, though they also stated at the time that Chelsea is his preferred destination as he wants to follow in the footsteps of one of his idols, Didier Drogba.
However, unless the Blues can engineer a way to ensure that they can afford Osimhen, then it appears almost certain that he’ll be wearing a Gunners shirt next season.
