In the midst of an attacking play, young defender Pau Cubarsi attempted to clear a header but was struck in the face by Uros Spajic’s kick, resulting in a painful blow to his cheek.

The impact left Cubarsi on the ground, visibly hurt and bleeding, and immediately, his teammates rushed to his side.

Their concern was evident as they called for medical assistance, unsure of the extent of his injury. The situation quickly escalated, with the players visibly distressed as they anxiously awaited the arrival of the medical team.

After a few minutes of receiving treatment on the pitch, during which it was confirmed that Cubarsi had suffered a deep wound, he was able to leave the field under his own power.

However, it was clear that he needed to be replaced for safety reasons. Sergi Dominguez came on to take his place, allowing the team to proceed without further risk to the young defender.

The sight of Cubarsi walking off the field was a relief for Barcelona supporters, though the incident left everyone questioning the severity of the injury.

Cubarsi has become a regular feature in Barcelona’s defence under manager Hansi Flick, forming a solid partnership with Íñigo Martínez. His ball-playing abilities and defensive capabilities have made him an important part of the squad.

After the match, Flick reassured fans that the young defender was in good spirits. Despite requiring stitches for the injury, he confirmed that there were no serious concerns regarding Cubarsi’s condition, offering some comfort to those worried about the impact.

With the situation under control, Cubarsi’s quick recovery is expected, and fans will be hopeful to see him back in action soon.
