Video – Barcelona fans mistake own team bus for PSG’s, throw objects

We are roughly an hour away before Barcelona take on Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals.

Thanks to a 3-2 victory in the first leg, Barcelona only require a draw in order to secure a ticket to the semifinals.

There has been a lot of hostility heading into this game, with Barcelona fans notably bursting firecrackers just outside the PSG hotel last night.

And in yet another case of hostility, Barcelona fans were in standby mode on the streets, waiting for the PSG bus to arrive.

Sure enough, the fans made no mistake in throwing objects and bursting firecrackers at the first sight of a bus.

However, after throwing objects at the bus, the locals made a shocking discovery as the Barcelona team bus pulled into view. Instead of the expected PSG emblem, Barcelona’s crest gleamed on the side of the bus.

In a frenzy, Barcelona fans had mistaken their own team bus for that of PSG’s, unleashing a barrage of objects and firecrackers. Upon realisation, the atmosphere shifted from aggression to embarrassment.
