Cristiano Ronaldo opened his goal tally for 2024 by scoring the winning goal for Al-Nassr against Al-Fayha in the Asian Champions League.

Ronaldo combined with teammate Marcelo Brozovic to find space in the penalty area and finished in style to earn his side a narrow victory at the Prince Faisal Bin Fahad Stadium on Wednesday evening. The first half was very close, but the Portuguese striker opened the scoring in the 81st minute to give Al-Nassr a crucial victory in the first leg.

What caught fans’ attention was Ronaldo’s new celebration. Instead of his iconic “SIUUU,” he opted for a different gesture, crossing his hands over his chest and closing his eyes after his usual jump for joy. This gesture is quite similar to the “nap” celebration he introduced during his second spell at Manchester United.

Ronaldo made headlines for his reaction to Al-Nassr’s defeat in the Riyadh Seasons Cup final, where he expressed his frustration by throwing his runners-up medal into the stands. However, after today’s victory, Ronaldo was spotted in a jovial mood, taking part in the celebration with the fans. On February 17, he will face Al-Fateh in the Saudi Pro League, before meeting Al-Fayha in the return match at home on February 21.
