Those are the wrestlers who will often hold the top championships and it can be a big deal when one of them is around. It can be even better if one of them is returning after a long hiatus and that is what happened this week.

This week’s AEW Dynamite saw the return of Hangman Page, who wrestled his first match since March as he defeated Jeff Jarrett in the first round of the Men’s Owen Hart Tournament. Later in the show, Page turned down the chance to be part of the Elite during Blood & Guts, saying he was his own man. Page’s return had been teased the previous week with a vignette but no date was given.

Opinion: This is the kind of return that can make for a big deal in AEW as Page is one of the biggest stars the company has produced in its history. It seems that AEW has a plan for what him and that should make for something important down the line. If nothing else he adds in a lot of star power and the ans are going to care for him, so at least things are working well to start.
