The Manchester United starlet came off the bench during England’s friendly with Brazil at Wembley on Saturday, entering the fold alongside fellow Red – and Carrington graduate – Marcus Rashford.
Just one minute into his maiden outing, he displayed a composed piece of skill to brush off Joao Gomes and again demonstrate his press-resistant style of play.
You’d expect that if his development continues the upward trajectory it’s on, Mainoo will secure a spot on the Three Lions’ plane to Germany for this summer’s Euros, which would round off a scintillating breakout campaign for the teenage sensation.
