Former Manchester United forward Bebe has scored potentially Goal of the Tournament at the Africa Cup of Nations with a 40-yard screamer for Cape Verde.
The 33-year-old scored a goal of the tournament contender after unleashing a 40-yard free-kick in the first-half of Cape Verde’s group match against Mozambique.
Inside 40 minutes, Bebe had an ambitious attempt from distance and caught out Mozambique goalkeeper Ernan. It was a great strike but there is no denying that the goalkeeper had a nightmare and should’ve done better.

Bebe turned out to be one of Sir Alex Ferguson’s biggest flops but his signing itself was a rare case since the former United manager chose not to take a look at the forward before the club paid £7.4m for his signature. It is believed Fergie was encouraged by the player’s agent Jorge Mendes as well as his then-assistant Carlos Queiroz.
The Portugal-born Cape Verde international is currently on loan at Real Zaragoza from Rayo Vallecano.
