Manchester United U18s were crowned Premier League Cup champions following a 2-1 win over rivals Man City at Leigh Sports Village on Tuesday evening.

The Reds took an early lead thanks to Ethan Wheatley, who scored a first-half brace, after striking on eight and 25 minutes.

The centre-forward collected a long ball from James Nolan before scoring from the right side of the box. He left the goalkeeper with no chance.

Wheatley doubled United’s advantage after 25 minutes.

Those goals proved decisive and earned United both the derby bragging rights and the silverware.

A special moment for our young Reds! 😍
