A video of the Easter incident allegedly involving Rod Wave has been leaked online.
Law enforcement arrested the rapper, real name Rodarius Marcell Green, was arrested due to suspicions that he was involved in a shooting which was reported to be gang-related on March 31.

— getleakedlol (@getleakedlol) April 4, 2024He was arrested on two counts of illegally possessing a firearm or ammunition as a convicted felon but was released from jail hours later after the charges were “determined not to be accurate,” a police spokesperson stated.
In the video, it clearly shows approaching several parked vehicles. Shots ring out and the rapper is scene attempting to flee. He is not captured holding any weapons and looks caught off guard.
“He is not a convicted felon, he committed no crime and the responsible parties for this sham arrest will be held accountable,” his attorney Bradford Cohen said in a statement to XXL. “The Judge already immediately released him without requiring a bond.”
