Manchester United’s legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson has claimed that Tottenham will never win the Premier League.
The Scottish coach knows one or two things about winning England’s top flight, guiding Man United to 13 over his time at the Manchester club.
United dominated English football for over two decades but could Spurs win just one in the future?
The last time Tottenham won the league was the 1960-61 campaign and Ange Postecoglou’s current work at the North London club has fans of the club optimistic for the future.
When asked by Sky Sports Racing’s Matt Chapman whilst at Newbury Racecourse, Ferguson claimed that Tottenham will never win the Premier League and gave valid reasons for his answer.
“No,” a laughing Sir Alex Ferguson said following the question.
“The opposition today with Liverpool and Man City being so powerful in the Premier League, even for United, we now have to fight.”
