Scott McTominay could be a Napoli player by the end of the day if all goes to plan.
In doing so, the midfielder would draw the curtains on a 22-year association with Manchester United, having joined the club at the age of five.
He is travelling to Italy today to undergo his medical, with the terms of his £25 million transfer already signed off on by both the Red Devils and Napoli.
Yesterday, McTominay was at Old Trafford for what will presumably be the final time. With the United faithful keen to bid farewell to their academy graduate in person, numerous fans waited around the stadium to send him on his way with their best wishes.

One supporter captured a heartwarming interaction between McTominay and a young Red, who gifted him a handmade friendship bracelet.
“No way!” he reacted. “Thank you very much, that’s so sweet. I’m going to put it on – that’ll stay with me forever, that!”
