Viktor Gyokeres is keen to move to England this summer and is open to joining one of three Premier League clubs, according to reports.
Gyokeres has been a revelation at Sporting Lisbon since being signed from Championship side Coventry City in 2023.
The Sweden international scored 43 goals in all competitions last season to help Sporting win the league title, and has netted 39 more this term in just 40 games.
A number of clubs have taken notice of Gyokeres’ incredible form in Portugal and expressed interest in securing a deal for the 26-year-old.
Manchester United were thought to be at the front of the queue to sign Gyokeres as he loved playing under Ruben Amorim, who left Sporting to take over at Old Trafford in November.

But Arsenal have also been linked with Gyokeres as they search for attacking reinforcements for Mikel Arteta, while the likes of Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are all believed to be admirers.
Despite interest from some of the biggest clubs across Europe, Gyokeres’ preference is to move to England this summer, according to Portuguese outlet A Bola.
More specifically, it is claimed Gyokeres favours a move to Liverpool, Arsenal or Manchester City.
Liverpool will be in a strong negotiating position come the summer as the new Premier League champions and possible even treble-winners.
The Reds are eyeing a sensational treble in Arne Slot’s first season at Anfield despite playing without a recognised striker for much of the season.
Liverpool’s most natural No. 9, Darwin Nunez, has struggled for regular game-time under Slot and is expected to be moved on in the summer.
That would open the door to Gyokeres potentially joining the runaway Premier League leaders, although Liverpool are also believed to be in the running for Newcastle United talisman Alexander Isak.
Gyokeres can reportedly see himself at the Etihad Stadium but Manchester City are unlikely to sign a new striker after giving Erling Haaland a huge new deal and signing Omar Marmoush in January.
Unlike Man City, Arsenal will certainly be in the market for a new striker and Gyokeres would be open to joining the Gunners, who look set for a third successive second-place finish in the Premier League.
The report suggests Gyokeres has reservations about moving to Manchester United, who are currently just 14th in the Premier League and will miss out on European football next season unless they win the Europa League.
Gyokeres is contracted to Sporting Lisbon until 2028 but his departure is seen as ‘inevitable’. He has a buy-out clause worth €100m but Sporting are open to selling for around €70m.
The Portuguese giants are three points clear at the top of Primeira Liga but were knocked out of the Champions League by Borussia Dortmund in the play-offs.
