Aston Villa may reportedly have to part ways with Jacob Ramsey in this summer’s transfer window due to financial issues.
It seems Premier League clubs are all getting increasingly anxious about getting into trouble regarding Financial Fair Play (FFP), with Everton having been docked points this season.
Villa now seem ready to consider cashing in on Ramsey, who was notably linked as a transfer target for Newcastle United back in the January transfer window.
It remains to be seen if the Magpies will come back in for the 22-year-old, but one imagines there could also be other clubs who would be tempted to make an offer for him if he becomes available.

Ramsey transfer would be a big blow for Unai Emery after great work at Villa
Jacob Ramsey in action for Aston VillaVilla have made great strides this season thanks to Emery, and it would undoubtedly be a big shame for his project at Villa Park if a key figure like Ramsey had to leave.
Still, it makes sense from a FFP point of view as he’s a homegrown player, so cost them nothing in the first place, meaning his sale would bring in pure profit for the club.
AVFC need to be careful, though, as they’re also likely to face interest in other star players like Douglas Luiz and Ollie Watkins in the weeks and months ahead.
