In a delicate position at Barça, Xavi knows that he has not had the season he hoped for with his team. The white season, without a trophy, makes Barcelona leaders think that the Catalan technician is no longer the man for the job. For Marcelino, the Villarreal coach and former OM coach, Xavi has not acted in the best way this season. According to him, the ex-Spain international should have stuck to his initial decision to leave Barça at the end of the season, as he announced last January.

“If I say I don’t continue, I won’t continue. I think I’ve always been someone who says what he thinks and once the decision is made, it’s already made.”he declared on the microphone ofEl Larguero. Like Xavi, Marcelino has not fulfilled his goals this season. With Villarreal, the Spanish coach failed to qualify for a European competition next season.
