Vince McMahon has cut ties with his PR firm ahead of the release of the Netflix docuseries about him.
Brandon Thurston of POST Wrestling reports that McMahon is no longer being represented by Sitrick And Company. He previously started working with the public relations firm in April 2024. The news comes just hours before the premiere of “Mr. McMahon”, the Netflix docuseries about the former WWE Chairman.
Thurston writes that he learned of the split on September 23, as Sitrick said that he was no longer representing Vince McMahon. Sitrick declined to get into the specifics of the situation.
“With respect to clients, we don’t comment beyond we are no longer working together,” Sitrick said.
Per Thurston, Sitrick And Company had worked closely with McMahon’s legal team. Attorney Jessica Taub Rosenberg is still representing McMahon in Janel Grant’s civil lawsuit against him, WWE, and John Laurinaitis. Grant alleged that McMahon and Laurinaitis sexually assaulted her, and that McMahon trafficked and emotionally abused her. McMahon and Laurinaitis denied the allegations, but the federal investigation is ongoing.
McMahon issued a statement about the Netflix docuseries on September 23 and said that “a lot has been misrepresented or left out entirely.” He expressed his hope that the viewer would keep an open mind.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
