Vince McMahon was “unable” to attend WWE WrestleMania 40, according to his personal trainer.

In January, Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon and WWE in which she alleged that McMahon engaged in sexual assault and sex trafficking of her. McMahon has denied the allegations, but he resigned from WWE and TKO.

Vince McMahon’s personal trainer, Michael Monteforte, took to Instagram and commented on the former WWE chairman being unable to attend WWE WrestleMania 40.

“Vince McMahon was unable to attend his first WrestleMania,” Monteforte wrote. “How quickly people forget, that without his vision, there would be no wrestling or WrestleMania. Sadly, when a person is down, the people who say they love you, their their backs on you.”

In a comment on the post, Monteforte stated, “Don’t judge a man, without getting all the facts. Things aren’t always as they appear.”
