The Disciplinary Committee of the Spanish Football Federation has ruled on the case of Vinicius Junior after his expulsion during the match against Valencia in La Liga. The Real Madrid player, initially threatened with a severe sanction, ultimately received a two-match suspension, considering his action as “sporting violence” rather than aggression. Thus, Vinicius will be absent for the La Liga matches against Las Palmas (January 19) and Valladolid (January 25).

Available for the Spanish Super Cup

Good news for Real Madrid: this suspension only applies to La Liga. Vinicius will therefore be lined up in the Spanish Super Cup, from Thursday, to face Mallorca in Saudi Arabia. In addition to the suspension, the Brazilian winger was also fined €600, while Real Madrid will have to pay a further €700.
