Bellingham and Madrid bounced back from their 2-0 Champions League defeat to Liverpool in midweek by winning by the same score against Getafe in La Liga on Sunday. And after the 21-year-old took to social media to celebrate the three points and his goal, his injured teammate Vinicius also congratulated the Englishman.

Along with a series of photos from Real Madrid’s victory, Bellingham wrote on Instagram: “¡Victoria muy important! (A very important VICTORY!).

And Vincius Jr commented on the post: “Q(ue) JUGADOR (Which player)”.

Real still there

After winning a La Liga and Champions League double in 2023/24, Madrid have not been at their best this season. Bellingham hasn’t been as efficient or scored as many goals, but despite this the Whites are just one point behind league leaders Barcelona and have a game in hand. A new successful campaign is therefore entirely possible. The second-ranked Bellingham team travels to fourth-ranked Athletic Club on Wednesday.
