Led 2-0 by Almeria this Sunday and managing to get a 3-2 victory, Real Madrid suffered on their lawn against the red lantern. A match marked by several refereeing controversies including Vinicius Junior’s equalizing goal at 2-2 where the Brazilian deflected the sphere with his shoulder. If the referee considered the action valid, this is not the case for everyone in Spain.
While Spain is divided following this contested refereeing match, Vinicius Junior reacted on social networks to his goal scored. The Brazilian wanted to show that he considered his goal to be perfectly valid: “great goal, that’s what we always did on Copacabana beach.” Not sure that this will calm the debates on the other side of the Pyrenees.
