Just in time for Christmas — the sixth season of Virgin River is set to premiere Dec. 19. And it’s not one of those half-season drops that Netflix has been doing a lot of lately — all 10 episodes of Season 6 will be available that day.

That is slightly ahead of schedule — Netflix at the start of February unveiled its 2024 original slate, and Virgin River, along with a slew of other fan favorites, like Stranger Things, Ginny & Georgia and Wednesday, were not on the list, pointing to a 2025 return.

However, nothing is set in stone — Virgin River is the second series originally eyed for 2025 that will be back sooner than anticipated. The other is The Lincoln Lawyer, whose third season was delivered early and will debute Oct. 17.

Meanwhile, a series that was on Netflix’s 2024 release list, Season 2 of breakout hit The Night Agent, is yet to get a premiere date.

Season 6 of Virgin River, whose production started in February and ended in June, comes a year after its fifth season wrapped with a two-episode Christmas special that followed a 10-episode September release. As Deadline revealed at the time, the show was planning to revert to 10-episode seasons (and no more holiday specials) going forward.

Along with the premiere date, Netflix has released more Season 6 first-look images, which provide glimpse of all Virgin River couples — Mel & Jack as they head to their bid day, Preacher & Kaia as they face his trial, Lizzie & Denny as they are expecting their first child, Cameron & Muriel as they pick up the pieces of the Season 5 finale heartbreaker, Doc & Hope as they deal with his medical trial, which showrunner Patrick Sean Smith assured us will have a positive outcome, Brie & Mike, who appear still together, as do Brady & Lark, despite her dark secret revealed in the Season 5 finale.

There is no sign of Mel’s newly found biological father Everett in the photos but Smith confirmed in December that he will have a significant presence in Season 6.

Deadline revealed exclusively last month first-look images of young Everett and Mel’s late mom Sarah who will appear in 1970s flashbacks this coming season for a potential prequel series. The rest of the photos you can see above and below.

According to the official Season 6 longline, against the backdrop of Mel and Jack’s romantic spring wedding season, this sixth installment promises fresh twists and turns, escalating love triangles, delightful wedding drama, as well as uncovered secrets from Mel’s father’s past which will transport us to the magic and mystique of Virgin River in the 1970s.

Led by Alexandra Breckenridge and Martin Henderson, Virgin River‘s series-regular cast also includes Tim Matheson, Annette O’Toole, Colin Lawrence, Benjamin Hollingsworth, Zibby Allen, Sarah Dugdale, Marco Grazzini, Kai Bradbury and Kandyse McClure.

Season 6 directors are Martin Wood, Rama Rau, Felipe Rodriguez, star Martin Henderson and Monika Mitchell. Writers include Patrick Sean Smith, Jackson Sinder, Erin Cardillo, Rich Keith, Ildiko Susany, Thomas Ian Griffith, Mary Page Keller, Tesia Walker and Becky Hartman Edwards. The series is executive produced by Smith, Sue Tenney, Amy Palmer Robertson, Roma Roth, Christopher E. Perry, Robyn Carr, Cardillo and Keith.
