End clap for Vitinha on the Canebière. As mentioned by us in recent days, the Portuguese striker, loaned to Genoa since January by Olympique de Marseille, will definitely stay in Italy for the long term. This Friday, the documents relating to his transfer were signed by the transalpine team and its Marseille counterpart, who will recover €20 million in the deal (plus bonuses). While the officialization of his transfer to Genoa is imminent, the principal concerned delivered a final message to the Marseille supporters.
“Dear Olympique de Marseille supporters. It is time to say goodbye. It was an honour to wear this historic jersey and give my best for the club. Even if everything did not go as I had dreamed, I leave with valuable lessons and unforgettable memories. The passion you show for the club is inspiring and has always made me want to give my all on the pitch. A part of me will always remain in Marseille. Here, I grew as a player and as a person. To OM, my teammates, the technical staff and all those who supported me, I extend my sincere thanks. You have been tireless, even in difficult times. I know that the club will continue to fight for great conquests, with your unconditional support. I will always be in the front row to cheer you on. An eternal goodbye, OM. You are in my heart. With gratitude, Vitinha”we can read on the Portuguese’s Instagram account.
