WAFU B U-20 Tourney: Flying Eagles Depart For Togo

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria on Tuesday departed for Lome, Togo ahead of the WAFU- B U-20 tournament.

The Nigerian team which is handled by the Technical Adviser of Elkanemi Warriors, Coach Aliyu Zubair departed for the neighbouring West African Nation at about 10:25am through the Muritala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.

The team had the final phase of their preparation at Remo Stars training complex in Ikenne.

The traveling contingent includes a 20 man list squad, coaching crew, other backroom staff alongside Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) officials.

Flying Eagles of Nigeria are the defending champions of the tournament and have been drawn in Group B alongside Cote d’ivoire and Burkina Faso.

Nigeria will face Burkina faso in their opening match of the competition at the Municipal Stadium, Lome on Friday.

The game will kick-off at 3pm local time.
