England defender Kyle Walker has named the player who had the biggest impact on him during his long spell at Manchester City.

Manchester City veteran full-back Kyle Walker has said David Silva is the best player he has worked with at the club. A fitting tribute to the retired Spaniard.

Walker was asked who he would nominate as the best person he has played alongside at City. While he has had the opportunity to play alongside players of the calibre of Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne, it is David Silva that he has chosen.

Walker says De Bruyne was not the best

During the podcast “You’ll Never Beat Kyle Walker,” he explained why he admires the Spanish virtuoso so much: “People always ask me who the best player I played with at City is and it’s David. I think he’s ahead of Kevin.”

“I think Kun (Aguero) was unbelievable, but that’s my personal opinion. He (Silva) did things and you could pass him a ball that wasn’t good, but he made it look like a good ball,” Walker continued.

The England international then concluded by indicating that Silva

“He wasn’t the quickest, but the way he turned and manipulated his body, and with him and Leroy (Sane) on the side the first two years, they complemented each other so well.” “He knew when Leroy wanted the ball, when he didn’t want the ball, how he wanted the ball and I think David knew what the team needed.”
