Manchester United are yet to resolve Alejandro Garnacho’s and Marcus Rashford’s transfer sagas heading into the final days of the winter window.
Talks were reportedly reopened between the Red Devils and Napoli today to try and hash out a deal for Garnacho after a £40 million bid was rejected two weeks ago.
As for his English counterpart, Rashford watched on from home on Sunday while United clinched a late victory at Craven Cottage, which marked the 11th successive game that he’s been omitted by Ruben Amorim.
He sent a message to his teammates at full-time on Instagram, writing: “Congratulations on the win, lads”.
The 27-year-old has been linked with a host of clubs since his exile first began back in December. Heading into the month, it looked as though AC Milan were leading the race to sign Rashford on loan – before Kyle Walker declared his desire to leave Manchester City with immediate effect. With only one non-EU spot available in their squad, the Serie A giants opted for the defensive coup.
What Rashford has now told Barcelona to aid their pursuit

His prospective arrival does, however, hinge on players leaving the club, as there is simply not enough space on the wage list to register him otherwise.
That’s why the forward is said to have made a pledge to the Blaugrana to get a deal over the line as swiftly as possible; according to Marca journalist Luis Rojo, Rashford has ‘taken a step: [he is] willing to lower his salary to sign for Barcelona’.
Currently, he pockets an eye-watering £325,000 per week at Old Trafford – although the sum may have reduced this season due to United’s failure to qualify for the Champions League last May.
