Warner Bros. Discovery, ESPN, and FOX are joining forces.
Warner Bros. Discovery announced that they are launching a joint sports streaming service with ESPN and FOX. The service will include various sports, including NFL, NBA, MLB, NASCAR, NFL, college sports, and more. It is scheduled to launch in the fall of 2024. Wrestling was not named in the announcement, but AEW’s weekly television shows air on Warner Bros. Discovery’s TNT and TBS.
The announcement notes that the service would be a new app, and subscribers would have the ability to bundle it with Disney+, Hulu, and/or Max.
WBD CEO David Zazlav commented on the news by saying, “This new sports service exemplifies our ability as an industry to drive innovation and provide consumers with more choice, enjoyment, and value.”
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
