Warner Bros has pushed up the release date of Maggie Gyllenhaal’s Frankenstein pic The Bride!, at the same time setting a date for its Untitled Conjuring Finale (fka Untitled NL Horror Event).

An IMAX title, The Bride! will open against Lionsgate’s Saw XI and the Uni kids’ title Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie, having been pushed up from October 3 to September 26, 2025, while the new Conjuring film is currently the sole feature occupying September 5, 2025.

Marking Gyllenhaal’s follow-up to the Academy Award-nominated Netflix drama The Lost Daughter, The Bride! watches as a lonely Frankenstein (Christian Bale) travel to 1930s Chicago to seek the aide of a Dr. Euphronius in creating a companion for himself. The two reinvigorate a murdered young woman and the Bride is born. She is beyond what either of them intended, igniting a combustible romance, the attention of the police and a wild and radical social movement.

Pic’s starry ensemble also includes Jessie Buckley, Peter Sarsgaard, Annette Bening, Penelope Cruz, Julianne Hough, John Magaro, Jeannie Berlin and Jake Gyllenhaal. Maggie Gyllenhaal directed from her own script and produced alongside Emma Tillinger Koskoff (Joker, The Irishman), Talia Kleinhendler (The Lost Daughter) and Osnat Handelsman-Keren (The Lost Daughter). Carla Raij (Maestro, The Fablemans) served as exec producer.
