It might be due to a string of problems or a single situation, but for one reason or another, there is something holding them back. One of those names made headlines this weekend, but for a rather strange reason.

AEW’s Jack Perry made a surprise appearance at NJPW’s Battle In The Valley event. Perry attacked Shota Unimo, held up an armband that said “The Scapegoat” and then tore up an AEW contract. This is Perry’s first wrestling appearance since All In in August, where he was involved in a backstage altercation with CM Punk. He was suspended at the time of the incident, though his suspension was reported to have ended a few weeks ago. There is nothing to suggest that Perry has parted ways from AEW, as the company has a working agreement with NJPW. It is not clear when Perry will return to AEW TV.
