WATCH: CM Punk Saves Damian Priest From Judgment Day At WWE Live Event (While Wearing A Towel)

That’s some attire. There are certain things that will always work in wrestling and they often involve giving the fans something that they are not expecting. This can come in a variety of forms, but one of the most successful is to have a wrestler run in for a save. That is what we saw over the weekend at a special show, and it came in one of the more unique ways you will ever see.

Earlier this week, WWE held a live event at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The main event saw Gunther successfully defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Damian Priest in a steel cage match. Following the match, Judgment Day attacked Priest, resulting in CM Punk making the save, despite wearing a towel and a shower cap. After making the save, Punk praised Priest and congratulating him from making it here after being born in New York City.

Opinion: This is the kind of special thing that you get to see on a live event and it made for a cool moment, with Punk making a memorable save. Punk is one of the biggest stars in WWE and getting him out there to end the show made sense. At the same time, it makes Priest look like that much more of a big deal to have him working with someone as important as Punk.
