Watch: Dani Olmo’s Barcelona shirt number revealed

Even though an official announcement of his signing has not been made, Dani Olmo’s Barcelona shirt number has been revealed already.

The 26-year-old Spanish attacking midfielder has joined Barcelona from RB Leipzig and signed his contract at the club offices today.

While an official announcement is expected to arrive at any moment now, it has now been confirmed that Olmo will be wearing the No. 20 shirt at Barça.

Indeed, the Spaniard’s family members and entourage were spotted posing with the ‘Olmo 20’ shirts at the club offices after his contract signing, giving away his new number.

The #20 shirt became available after former captain Sergi Roberto’s exit, with the club not renewing him post his contract expiry on June 30.

Interestingly, Barcelona sporting director Deco, who played an instrumental role in signing Olmo, also wore the No. 20 shirt during his playing days at the club.
