He’s back. With such a deep talent roster, WWE can have difficulties keeping track of everyone on the payroll. At some point, some wrestlers are going to be gone for an extended period of time and there is not much that can be done about it. What it does create is quite the moment when someone makes a surprise return, which is what took place this week.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Got It: Title Change Takes Place At WWE SmackDown Taping (Contains SPOILER)

This week on SmackDown, Shinsuke Nakamura made a surprise return, attacking LA Knight and throwing himself into the United States Title picture. This was Nakamura’s first televised appearance since April of this year, though he has wrestled infrequently on live events. There is nothing to suggest that Nakamura has been missing for any reason other than WWE having nothing for him.

This is quite the return. Check out Nakamura’s return and time in WWE:

Opinion: This was the kind of return that Nakamura has been needing for a good while. He is someone who could be put into a spot like this one at the drop of a hat, which is pretty much exactly what happened. Nakamura has been gone for a good while now and it is nice to see him back, as Knight could certainly use a fresh challenger. This worked well, and hopefully it continues to do so.

What did you think of the return? How will the feud go? Let us know in the comments below.
