That is the case with a former NXT Champion, and now he is getting ready to return to what he does rather well.

Back in November 2023, former NXT Champion Wes Lee announced that he needed back surgery and would be out of action for 8-12 months. Lee has since posted a video to Twitter, showing him stepping inside of a ring, though he is not shown doing anything physical. There is nothing to suggest that he will be back in action any sooner than previously expected.
