Welcome back. There are multiple ways to bring a wrestler back to television after a long absence. Occasionally you will see such a return advertised in advance but in other situations, someone will be brought back in a surprise. That was the situation again this week with a wrestler making a return out of nowhere, despite dealing with some rather serious injuries not that long ago.

This week on AEW Dynamite, it was announced that Eddie Kingston was injured and out of Anarchy In The Arena at Double Or Nothing later this month. At the end of the show, Darby Allin made a surprise return, revealing himself as Kingston’s replacement. Allin has been out of action since March due to a broken foot. He was also hit by a bus in New York City earlier this month.

It’s a big deal. Check out Allin’s return plus what he can do in the ring:

Opinion: Allin being back is a big deal and it was a special moment as the show was near his hometown of Seattle. It should be interesting to see what he can do so soon after a broken foot, but apparently he is ok enough to show up again this soon. He’s someone who is going to get a reaction no matter what he does and he feels like someone who would fight to the end, which is the point of the match.

What did you think of the return? How will Allin do at Double Or Nothing? Let us know in the comments below.
