WATCH: Tommaso Ciampa Still Can’t RKO Randy Orton, But Does Get A Special Surprise Return

It’s still not working. There are certain things in wrestling that show up over and over for one reason or another. One of the most common reasons to see these things take place is that they are effective, or in some cases because they were more of a success than expected. The latter appears to be the case again, with the latest chapter in a long running story featuring a special cameo.

Over the last few months, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa have appeared in a series of videos showing Ciampa attempting to RKO Randy Orton to no avail. This week’s video featured Gargano attempting to cheer Ciampa up with a cameo from the returning Robert Roode, only for Ciampa to get distracted again. As usual, this has yet to be acknowledged on WWE TV.

Opinion: This is one of the best recurring gags in WWE today and that is quite a bit of fun. I’m not sure how this is going to end, or if it needs to, but they are so much fun every week. The good thing is that these things probably take all of five minutes to put together and mainly consist of some catchphrases along with whatever they’re doing in a given week. It’s rather fascinating to see and the humor has worked well.
