IMG Credit: WWEIt’s a famous one. There are all kids of titles in wrestling and some of them have become iconic both in their own promotions and throughout the industry. Some of those titles are known for a certain kind of match and feel like something of a badge of honor in wrestling. One of those titles is getting a special look now as it is a major point in its already long history.

In honor of the Intercontinental Title’s 45th anniversary, WWE has posted a video to YouTube showing various former Intercontinental Champions holding the title again. This includes names such as Shawn Michaels, Kofi Kingston and Wade Barrett among others. The video also features former champions talking about what the title means and how it was viewed as the “workers’ title”.

Opinion: The Intercontinental Title is one of the most prestigious championships in wrestlers, which is why WWE is giving it this kind of special attention. There have been some all time great stars who have held the title over the years and it is rather cool to see them getting to hold the title again, even for a special video like this. If nothing else, WWE gets to showcase some of its great title history, which is where they tend to shine.
